John Gong, a China Forum expert of CISS, Tsinghua University, shared his perspectives at a panel discussion organized by the Valdai Discussion Club early March, themed “The New Middle East and the Security Crisis in Europe: Effects of Mutual Influence”. He also elaborated on his newly-coined concept “coalition of the unwilling” and called on neutral countries to form a “coalition of the unwilling” to resist the growing political pressure from the West and to better safeguard world peace.
